I have used this aerator in my boat's bait tank for approximatley 12 to 15 hours without recharging. Even in the Florida summer heat, it kept my shrimp alive for at least the 5-6 hours I fished.The only reason I did not rate this a 5, was the air tubes keep popping apart and pulling off the pump itself, while in storage in my garage. I tried unsuccessfully to find 1/4 inch clamps, tried using another type clamp...and today I finally super glued them...which I really did not want to do.My sister recently started an aquarium tank with some fish for my nephew. She mentioned to me during a recent power outage that she was concerned that the pump she has only works off of electricity and she wanted to get one that was battery operated also. I came across this one and it offers both battery power and direct current which is exactly what she wanted. So me being an awesome sister I decided to order it for her. It comes with everything needed to set up and and get it working. It has 2 air stones to pump a good amount of air into the water. She is very happy she no longer has to worry about her new little fishy friends even if the power is being weird. This pump is working out well for her and is pretty affordable. She said it was easy to set up and came with clear instructions.Works well but there are two air supply pieces and one didn’t workI use this for my DIY cold plunge where I basically watersealed a large chest freezer and take a dip in freezing water temperatures. It has amazing health and mood benefits. In order to extend the life of the water, I applied this aquarium air pump. It helps prevent growth of microogranisms. I've been shopping around different models and am most pleased with this because of its power usage. It operates off of a rechargable battery. I have it plugged in for constant power. This cold plunge project can quickly rack up the electricity bill so it is nice that this device does not use much power. The only potential issue people might run into is the noise. It's not too bad and the intermittent mode, which activates the pump intermittently, certainly helps. For me it is a non-issue because I have my cold plunge in the garage but for others placing it in say their bedroom, it is something to consider. The stones at the end of the pipes I found to be excellent quality. I wish it came with longer pipes though. I'm giving this 5 stars because of its excellent efficiency (it provides a good amount of oxygen without using too much power), its built in rechargeable battery, and it's low profile sleek design.Suction power will do my minnows love itIt is a great pump at a great price, but it is loud. It is really loud, I would absolutely get it again for outdoor use or if noise isn’t an issue.No very noisy like other we have purchased . Very convenient and in general works wellThis pump is perfect for power outages for my fish tanks and transporting fish made in China fingers crossed
