This product was defective out of the box. Only works on fan speed 1. When i put it on fan speed 2 and 3 it shuts off. Returning the product.I expected this cooler unit to be a condenser to shoot cold air out, instead it's simply a fan, don't buy this lie. Complete disaster and annoying waste of money, I should have known an ac unit wouldn't work on water alone.It has a weak fan, it does not hold a charge, it does not blow any cooler air than a regular fan.This is a small, portable air cooler/ air conditioner. It has a water tank that holds 500 ML or 17 fluid ounces of water enough to provide cooling comfort for about 8-10 hours on a single water fill. In addition to the water tank, it has 8 air filters that can be moistened and reinserted back in the filter drawer to maximize cooling effect and humidify the air. Has LED color interchangeable to red, green, or blue. Unit can be carried anywhere but needs a power outlet to use the USB cord. It is free of Freon and has no exposed coil to cause injury. It has a timer (1-3 hours) which is useful for nighttime use. Cooling distance is approximately 47 inches from the unit. It has adjustable speed: high, medium, and low. Instruction is printed on the box.This is a good little supplemental cooler.Why the candle quote? That's what this makes me think of. If I light a candle in a closet I'll be able to see the walls. If I light a candle in a warehouse, not so much! A candle is a small thing and only goes so far.If I were to try to cool down a warehouse with this little chiller I'd be pretty disappointed. But for a supplemental cooler it's nice to have! If you freeze the cartridge and use ice water it puts out some chilly air. It is best suited to a cubicle or desk or any situation you can have it blowing right at you or very near.The build quality feels pretty cheap. It is what it is.So, depending on the situation and if you're willing to work within the limits of the product I'd say it's worth buying.Small and Compact. Used in garage and it works well for one person.I really LOVE this unit. I have a similar model from another company but I purchased this specifically for the remote control option.One major advantage of this product is that the unit starts with the fan on the quietest setting and then increases to the highest. In contrast my other unit always starts up on the highest loudest setting which can be a pain especially at night.I also love the multicoloured LEDs on this product.The only criticism I have it that the instructions were minimalist both in size and content. They are printed on the box in very small font and when I did finally get to see them they didn't help much. There was no indication of or reference to battery size or type for the remote. It didn't take much to figure out though. It takes 2x AAA 1.5V.I have added a photo of the instructions so that you can zoom in a read them if requiredI think because I have got other unit which is more or less the same it wasn't difficult to operate, but for a first time user they are not the best.At home I have this on a shelf next to me in the evenings and I take it to work and have it on my desk. Best twenty quid I ever spent. It keeps me nice and cool where other fans have failed.I does NOT cool the room, it does NOT make any difference to anyone other than the person it’s pointed directly at. If that’s what you need, this fan isn’t for you.Keep it topped up with cold water and have it a few feet from you and it’ll keep you nice and cool even in very hot stuffy environments like the office.I did put the “filter” in the freezer after soaking it but honestly can’t say that made it any more effective. Just soak the filter with tap water, add nice cold water from the fridge to the top tray and it’ll keep your personal area nice and cool for hoursThis was ideal when it was ridiculously hot in the office. The water tank could do with being deeper as it needs topping up often, but if you wet and freeze the filter it lasts ages and stays lovely and cool. Ok on a desk, but don't expect it to cool a room or run all night in a bedroom without topping up the water.It’s quiet and efficient, love that you can control it with the remote, and using the timer, it’s great that you can put it anywhere with it running off a battery pack. We have even taken it away with usI'm very impressed with this fan. You Gill it with some water and pull out the front part yo wet the sponges. With all the fans I own this is by far the best. It is a little louder then expected but still very good
