The larger diameter hole added much power to my air impact wrench. Bonus - The female connectors will accept the small diameter hole fittings that I had on a brad nailer, blow nozzle, and tire air chuck, where a high air flow was not needed. I just changed out the fittings on the 3/8 hoses that I was already using.Don’t waste your money on the cheap stuff with pretty colors. They will fail quickly. These will last for year and they are not that much more.These weren't compatible with the fittings that came on my compressor, but that's no problem as the kit had plenty to replace them all. The fittings have a noticeably larger ID than the others. Additionally the quick connects are much better than the ones it came with. They can be inserted by pushing in without pulling back in the collar. Recommended.They work. Only time will tell the qualityused in truck repair shopAfter several months of use, they "unscrew" and the ball bearings fall out. It's clear looking at the internals that the brass is scarred from minor use and the function of the quick coupler is no longer smooth, but grinds.Had standard fittings on my air tools and they was under performing. These high flows are the ticket!Big difference between standard hose. Purchased new $600 Makita compressor and these fittings are day and night difference between original. No pull back collar needed,nice and smooth operation and big difference in air opening inside. Only one minor negative is that female fitting is a little longer than original about 1/4 inch. ( more exposed to damage from sticking out from compressor) And of course another negative is the price. Other than that.. perfect.I am a professional auto tech, with 30 years in the industry so obviously I've used a few air tools. Until I bought these I had no idea how much power I was giving up using the common smaller air fittings (I believe they are type "A"). The improvement is across the whole range of tools, impact gun, air hammer, air ratchet, die grinders, etc. Everything works so much better with these high flow fittings, they just wake your tools up.The fittings themselves are well built but if you drop your tool and the fitting hits the concrete it will be damaged since they are thinner to accommodate the extra air volume, also if you are using them on a percussion tool (impact anything or air hammer), use a short whip hose between your air line and the tool or they will get beat up.Think of it this way, 100 psi through a garden hose or 100 psi though a 3" pipe, which will give more volume at the outlet. Just buy a set, you'll see....These accessories are great and budget-friendly, but the only problem I had was that the couplers sometimes get locked in the open position and I have to pull the sleeve to get it back to its normal position. Not that huge of a problem though.
